Description
At Northern Poles we manufacture our fibreglass ridging ourselves and therefore you can be ensured of quality. For obvious health and safety reasons we do not manufacture the ridging at our trade depot but we do keep ample stock so that you don't have to order first. Fibreglass ridging is used on top of a thatched roof and adds protective, as well as decorative value. There are basically three options on the market when it comes to your thatched roof. The first option is a grass ridge. We do not recommend this option, as grass ridges tend to tear and wear as soon as the first storm appears. After a couple of good winds, grass ridges tend to look sloppy and this spoils the effect of your thatch roof.
Another option is cement ridges. Whether this is a good option or not is debatable, but as we all know with our hot summer days and cold afternoon rain showers these cement ridges tend to crack and leak.
That is why we recommend fibreglass ridging. Fibreglass is able to withstand hail, rain, temperature fluctuations and looks better than anything else on the market. Because we manufacture ourselves, our prices are the best in town.
